The iHome IBT97GC is awesome.
#3. Sonic Alert SBB500ss Sonic Bomb
The Sonic Alert SBB500ss Sonic Bomb, AKA The Bomb, is for anyone at any age who thinks they might not wake up in the morning. MUCH louder than typical, this dual alarm is sure to rattle your windows and force your eyes open. And if that doesn’t put your feet on the floor, the pulsating alert lights and Super Shaker bed vibrating unit will. However if the room mate needs a little more shut eye, switch off the sound and wake to the powerful bed shaker and let the roomies crash a little longer.
#2. Sony ICFC1PJ
The Sony ICFC1PJ is for sure my most recommended basic alarm clock by a mile. It has all the features you want! Dual alarms, multi alarm settings, AM/FM with preset stations, battery back up, auto DST, auto time sync, brightness control, and no power brick. All of that PLUS a several different nature sounds with a sleep timer to easy you to sleep, an actual USB port to charge your phone, and coolest of all it has a projector that shines the time up on the ceiling or wall! How cool! This is probably the best basic alarm clock you can find right now so buy with confidence here for sure.
#1. Philips HF3520 Wake-Up Light
I want to start out by saying that the Philips HF3520 Wake-Up Light is my all-time favorite alarm clock to date. After testing and trying clock after clock this is the one that landed permanently on my bed side table. Starting 20-40 minutes before your set alarm time, the natural light goes from a soft sunrise like red to a bright full morning white. Philips makes four or so versions of their Wake-Up Light, but the 3520 is the all in version and definitely worth the extra couple bucks for the battery back up, duel alarms, more natural red light feature, and the button free touch sensitive face. With this clock I went from a groggy, half-awake, need my coffee now, grouch to an actual honest-to-goodness morning person. That’s right, I became that which I hated and have never been happier. I highly recommend this clock to anyone who has trouble waking up in the morning.
